The dramatic sunrise above the drop of Mt. Evans' Black Wall. On this trip, we tried Cary Granite 5.11c when I climbed in the sun for a few hours and neglected to drink water at the belay. In the fun crux overhanging hands roof, my arms started cramping and I couldn't pull a thing. I could barely ride the razor-sharp jugs to the belay stance, mentally worn and frayed.
