Ethan Pringle invited me to follow him up Moonlight Buttress in Zion, even though I’d had little comparative trad climbing skills. Ethan didn’t care – he was stoked for a homie from the Bay who volunteered time with non-profit projects to be a part of the adventure, and to “embrace challenge”, something we both love to do.
After the climb, Mountain Hardwear sent a box of donated alpine gear for Escalando Fronteras – Climbing Borders! Our youth leaders occasionally summit the 18,000ft volcanos in southern Mexico, and have used the alpine gear to stay warm and dry. Thank you, MWH!
